Heart-shaped Soap & Black+Green Swirl

ni sabun yang m nak bagi wedding gift tu, tapi smpi skarang tak bagi bagi lagi.

lum siap lagi..

lum lagi minimum 4 weeks..

2 hati close up!

Funnel Swirl

Salam,

This was my first attempt with the Funnel Swirl..

The centre tu tak jadi sangat so I swirled more..

pix when wet

love the reflection!

i hope to get to do more of this funnel swirl in the future..

maybe with green from the pandan leaves..

it'll probably look brighter?

if I dont have the Ash problem.

this was with Activated Carbon Powder, Cocoa Powder too I think, Strawberry Paste and Turmeric Powder.

i know i put in 4 colours..

m ada la notebook, tapi too lazy to get it..

to confirm the cocoa powder...

I'll confirm that soon..

Swirl - Strawberry Paste & Turmeric!

yang ni m wat swirl..

the strawberry paste from Bake with Yen tu dengan kunyit

m letak banyak kunyit, sebab tu kaler kuning jadi pekat giler!!

acuan yang m guna leh dapat 36 pieces..

this is the swirl

semua affected by ash, therefore, dia dull sikit..

m puashati.

dapat wat swirl..

this had the strongest scent so far.

m abiskan frankinscense!

i cant imagine kalau buat dalam jumlah yang lagi besar daripada nih!

Idea? banyak... nak buat? susah!

plan nak buat sabun for my sis nya fren nye wedding..

idea dah ada, nak buat tu je kena lebih teliti sikit..

i need proper molds, separate molds for each bar because i want to do the double colour thing

2 sides with different colour, do a middle swirl and wallah, its done!

the molds i found, 

one was with a cavern on top, 

well, its a chocolate mold,

yang bentuk segiempat repat dan ada ruang kosong kat atas

i want a flat one,

and the flat one I found is too narrow, not the size that i have in mind..

nak cuba warnakan dengan dragonfruit, 

nak tengok warna apa yang bakal terhasil, marron or purple or red?

and orange juice, orange or cream?

nak match it with the theme..

i should start the experiment tomorrow and quickly start doing it 

because i have just about a month to cure the soaps!!

i dont want to plan to the finest detail, like packaging etc  

because i'm not even sure i can get the soaps done correctly pun..

tapi sis dah put those thoughts in my head so i've googled for simple packaging ideas..

but i need to put in an ingredient list as well..

aaaarrrrrghhhh!!

too much stuff to think about, 

thats why i dont plan to sell anything just yet.. food or not.

A Not -So-Bad Cut - Update on my 2nd CP Soap w Activated Charcoal

I couldnt wait much longer so i cut my 2nd soap dah!!

just see the swirls!!!

i know, i took threee pictures of the tugu (monument) sabun!!

cant you see i'm over excited that my second try worked!!

hehehe

its about 12 cm in length..

and about 5.5 cm width

and about 3 cm thick..

maybe i should cut this into 2 smaller bars..

but i like it as it is now =)

....

still have to wait 4 weeks to cure =(

i hope its not going to be too caustic or too soft..

i would love to avoid both, if i could..

i had no ash problem, it got sweaty at first and then it vanished.

waiting is the most difficult part..

My 2nd Cold Processed soap !!

I made my second soap yesterday.

from the looks of it, its beautiful..

not because i made it hehe

but the colour is beautiful, blackish greyish..

this time it was palm+olive+canola+lye+coconut milk(CM)+activated charcoal.

i made sure i froze the CM first this time so that it doesnt curdle.

it worked!!

i did not make it slushy, i just waited till it melt just a little.

i poured all frozen CM into a stainless steel bowl, 

made a well, sort of, in the centre and pour the lye in, a little at a time 

and while stirring, pushed the frozen CM into the centre, where the lye is, one by one.

it did not curdle so i am very happy!!

i need to find a way to cut this soap nicely. 

i didnt cut the first one well, 

it was too thin and very very uneven that it cant stand!

i'm actually curing it flat on its side, turning it every now and then..

i've googled and read that i should just throw it away 

but it would be such a waste so i'm keeping it for me still..

=)

i will do the cutting ceremony soon!!
